For the past few months, I have been brainstorming a new idea for an art piece, during that time I had sketched out many ideas, but one stood out to me, a dragon. As a child, I loved reptilian creatures and it always amazed me when I learned new things about these creatures whether these animals were real or mythical.
This art piece below is called the Son of the Seas. It focuses on a large Japanese styled dragon rising from the waters during a sunset, in which the dragon shows a graceful and gentle nature.

This painting is a mixed media. I used Prismacolor pencils which used to be my only medium for a long time. Now, I have a new addition, Watercolour paints . Watercolour is a type of paint which works best with proper control of water. I bought myself new supplies to properly adjust to the new medium, including Watercolour papers, new paint brushes and a new eraser to help with details.
I have learned a lot from this art piece , including new techniques, how to fix mistakes and more about how to make something stand out more. I hope this painting brings as much joy to you as it does for me!
